This was a replacement for the same one that we bought 35+ years ago. This makes playing cards much easier when it is my turn to shuffle. I have severe arthritis in my thumbs (from removing safety caps for 30 years or more. I’m a retired pharmacist and couldn’t get workers compensation for a job-related injury.
The shuffler can be loud, especially if I am with people wearing heard aids. I muffled the sound a lot by putting 3/8″ foam-backed indoor/outdoor carpeting underneath. It does cover the battery openings so I used double-sided foam tape t0make it easier to peel it off the battery compartments.
